This work is a 2D reinterpretation of a segment from my earlier installation "Locked In." The original piece explored the tension and reconciliation between the body and mind, a theme that continues here, through a different lens. Over time, I started noticing the growing gap between what I wanted to do and what my body could handle. Movements that once felt automatic became unpredictable. At first, it was frustrating. But eventually, I came to see that my body and mind weren't in conflict; they were just learning how to adapt to each other. This piece reflects that complex relationship: not a clean separation, but a messy, evolving dialogue between function, limitation, and persistence. This piece visualizes that relationship through a complex structure: disconnected yet interdependent forms, suggestive of both fragmentation and unity. Rendered in repeated pointillist marks, the image draws from the obsessive repetition of dots to convey compulsion, perfectionism, and immersion, a meditative process that mimics both physical rehabilitation and psychological reconstruction.
